Book Meme

I don't do a lot of "memes," but I like this one:

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open it to page 161.
3. Find the fifth full sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence along with these instructions.
5. Don't search around and look for the coolest book you can find. Do what's actually next to you.

"The Da Vinci code movie had just been released and Tim was doing a series of lectures addressing some of the issues the movie had raised: What was the role of women in the church?"

That was from the book I Sold My Soul on eBay by Hemant Mehta . Guess I'll have to wait for the answer until I get to that chapter. ;)

If you do the meme, feel free to post your sentences in my comments here.

Hey, cool meme! Here's what I have:
"It involves the use of a panoply of forceful sanctions - strikes, boycotts, civil disobedience, disrupting the functions of government, even nonviolent sabotage - in accrodance with a strategy for undermining an oppressor's pillars of support."

From "God's Politics: Why the right gets it wrong and the left doesn't get it" by Jim Wallis

Except it didn't have the typo...that was mine. :)

'Already he who reaps is receiving wages and is gathering fruit for life eternal; so that he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.'

From: God, are you there? by Kay Arthur

I picked this book up at a recent Kay Arthur conference in hopes that my newly converted tenant (formerly muslim) might take an interest in it. It's a study on the book of John intended for seekers.
