"Welcome to the Jungle"

Jen and I stumbled upon a great restaurant during our Florida Road Trip. We were just driving along A1A in the
Indiatlantic area and came across The Jungle Organic Restaurant and Specialty Market. It was SO GOOD we had to give this place a shout-out. If you are ever in this area of Florida you really MUST stop there! Here is the Menu. Jen had the Chef’s Brushetta (Fresh basil, avocado, tomato, onion, parmesan & olive oil, with toasted Ciabatta) and I had the Roasted Veggie & Black Bean Burrito (Black beans & rice wrapped with pepper, onion & mushroom in a whole wheat tortilla, baked with cheese and topped with sour cream & homemade salsa.)

Of course, being us we split them in half and shared. I would love to try some of the other stuff on the menu, because those two dishes were awesome. I also had an iced T - it was Tazo African Red Bush Tea, (Tazo's description here)and it was good. Jen discovered a Wild Blueberry Wheat Beer, brewed by The Sea Dog Brewery and then before we left she purchased a bottle of Sea Dog's Raspberry Wheat Beer.

Apparently they also do an awesome Sunday Brunch, and a Gourmet Dinner - the dinner being served by candlelight with fancy table cloths etc. Our waitress was great - fun, cheerful, accommodating and happy to answer all our questions, as well as provide us with menus for the wonderful meals we would unfortunately never be able to sample - despite the fact that we probably rolled in right at closing time.

Anyway, The Jungle was a great find, especially considering my ongoing interest in local and organic foods - and hopefully more people will realize what a gem they have in their own backyard!
