Praise You in this Storm ~ Casting Crowns

I was sure by now
That You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say "Amen"
and it's still raining

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God
Who gives and takes away

Chorus:
I'll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For you are who you are
No matter where I am
Every tear I've cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise you in this storm

I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry You raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can't find You

Chorus

I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth

Hey Karen!

I am a new poster on our blog...got here by way of Robb R and Aaron. I live in NW Arkansas too!

THanks for posting these lyrics...I love CC's. I am trying to decide if I should treat myself to go see them May 1 in Fort Smith AR as a birthday present. Wish you were here, we could go together!

Voice of Truth is still my all time favorite I think. I may be partial since I don't have a traditional woman's singing range and I *adore* doing that song with the performance track CD...plus I even *made* my hubby learn it on his guitar;)

Welcome Sandy!
Glad to have you here!
I have been to two CC concerts in the last year. Probably going again in April. I always come away convicted and hurting for people. If you get a chance to go - do it. The only downside is the last time they had a speaker with them and he made me crazy. I just wanted to tell him to go sit down and let the music be the message. But I guess they feel the need to hammer it home. To each their own, but I'm sure it turned a lot of people off. Let me know your opinion if you go!
Voice of Truth. Indeed. This is the soundtrack for my life.....

Though I agree with you that the music is enough, I think the speaker thing is about two things; 1) people's varying learning styles, and 2) for the potential pre-believers who might come and hear the music and never make the jump from "music as fun" to "music as worship/message."

I saw in another post you mentioned you were a music person...me too, so we can get it 100% in that format. I personally have to *assume* that CC's felt God leading them to have the message shared by the spoken word too.

I am wondering if the speaker was Louie Giglio. He is traveling with Chris Tomlin on the "Indescribable" tour which we will see on Feb 12 here in Fayetteville! I know CC's has Nichelle Nordeman traveling with them when they are in Fort Smith. She is the female vocal on "Lifesong" and some of the other ones on that album I think.

No, it wasn't Louie Giglio. I can't remember his name, but he was a way over the top person - quite irritating. Louie Giglio is ok. In fact tomorrow night I am actually going to the "Indescribable Tour" to see Matt, Chris and Louie. Oooh Eeeh!
And if we see CC in April Nichole Nordeman is with them then. :)
"Brave" is the second sountrack of my life.... :)
