I arise today
Through God's strength to pilot me:
God's might to uphold me,
God's wisdom to guide me,
God's eye to look before me,
God's ear to hear me,
God's word to speak for me,
God's hand to guard me,
God's way to lie before me,
God's shield to protect me,
God's host to save me
From snares of devils,
From temptations of vices,
From everyone who shall wish me ill,
Afar and anear,
Alone and in multitude.
--OR--
I bind to myself today
God's Power to guide me,
God's Might to uphold me,
God's Wisdom to teach me,
God's Eye to watch over me,
God's Ear to hear me,
God's Word to give me speech,
God's Hand to guide me,
God's Way to lie before me,
God's Shield to shelter me,
God's Host to secure me,
Against the snares of demons,
Against the seductions of vices,
Against the lusts of nature,
Against everyone who meditates injury to me,
Whether far or near,
Whether few or with many.
--OR--I bind unto myself today
The power of God to hold and lead,
His eye to watch, His might to stay,
His ear to hearken to my need.
The wisdom of my God to teach,
His hand to guide, His shield to ward;
The word of God to give me speech,
His heavenly host to be my guard.Against the demon snares of sin,
The vice that gives temptation force,
The natural lusts that war within,
The hostile men that mar my course;
Or few or many, far or nigh,
In every place and in all hours,
Against their fierce hostility
I bind to me these holy powers.

Whichever way you wanna say it.....
All three are different translations of a section from St. Patrick's Breastplate. I appreciate each one. And today, this is my affirmation and petition.

Hi there,
how are you? good I hope. Anyway, I am messaging you because you look like someone I know. She was my neighbor in Seattle, Ballard. One of the fondest memories I have her and her husband, was when on my birthday, they dressed up in textedos and brought over a big watermelom with candles on it. We kept in touch after we moved, but haven't heard from her in awhile. And I just wanted to see how she's doing. If you're not her, sorry to have bothered you. I hope all is well.
Take Care,
Shannon Skotland
Nope, not me....but thanks for stopping by! Hopefully you will find your friend.
