About Me

My photo
gerbmom
I’m just a mom with three grown kids that now has time to explore all the things she has wondered about for, like, um, 50 some years….. I live in the suburbs of Chicago, and I ran the computer lab in one of the elementary schools in my town before I retired. I love music. I have been in choirs, and on worship teams. I like all kinds of music - in fact, there is not much that I don’t like except maybe hip-hop and rap. Music opens places in the soul that nothing else can reach. My favorites include, but are definitely NOT limited to the artists listed below. I love to read. I read all the time. Lately I have been reading more non fiction - in my quest to learn and grow. Theology, postmodern thinking, emergent thinking, books on missional, global, ethical, environmental, societal and justice issues - they are all fodder for an inquisitive mind. I also enjoy reading memoirs, history and biographies. I am intrigued by what people do and are and what makes them who they are. History of places and societies also intrigues me. Thanks for stopping by, please let me know you were here!
